Church 101
The Son of the living God, the Word made flesh, the Savior of the world, fully human and fully divine. Through his’ life and ministry, death and resurrection, God reconciles the world and breaks down the walls that divide.He is our peace.
Who is Jesus?
Seven special ministries given to the church to convey the grace of Jesus Christ to his followers and all those he yearns to touch with his compassion.
What are Sacraments?
Shared the first Sunday of each month in the congregation and on special occasions. An opportunity to celebrate again our baptism and confirmation covenants, reconcile relationships, and mutually recommit to the church’s mission.
What is Communion?
A time during worship services or other gatherings when we are invited to remember God’s extravagant grace and generosity, to discover a deeper joy in discipleship living Christ’s mission, and to respond through whole-life stewardship by intentionally pausing and reflecting on our journey.

The number of congregations in Central Mission Community of Christ.
What is 28?
The mystery that we all owe for our existance and being. The One who is revealed in Jesus Christ, and moves through all creation as the Holy Spirit. Worthy of our worship.
Who is God?
Our misuse of agency individually and collectively. Taking the gifts of creation and of self and turning them against God’s purposes with tragic results. The universal condition of separation and alienation from God and one another.
What is sin?
Recognizes the divine initiative to call certain disciples to particular responsibilities and ministries for the sake of the community, the congregation, and the world. This sacrament often is performed in a worship service.
What is Ordination or Priesthood?
Gathering of members every four years to vote on decision making and new leaders.

Who is Eli Wilson?
Writings inspired by God’s Spirit and accepted by the church as the normative expression of its identity, message, and mission. Community of Christ uses the Book of Mormon and the Doctrine and Covenants—as texts that confirm its message that Jesus Christ is the Living Word of God. When responsibly interpreted and faithfully applied, this provides divine guidance and inspired insight for our discipleship.
What is Scipture?
Humble service offered according to the model of Jesus, who calls EVERY disciple to share in care for the world. The Holy Spirit gives complementary gifts and abilities to all disciples to equip the body of Christ for its witness in the world.
What is ministry?
A public act announcing you are choosing to follow Jesus Christ with all of your heart, might, mind, and strength. It is a decision that marks a significant point in recognizing God’s initiative in your life, turning toward God, and entering a covenant relationship to the community of disciples and God.
What is baptism?
When we reflect on & pray for the needs of a specific country every day and as a part of Sunday worship.
What is the Prayer for Peace?
A process and training that a congregation can go through that acknowledges and affirms human diversity by creating a spirit of openness and peace where all persons may find acceptance and the opportunity to share their giftedness.
What is a Welcoming and Affirming Congregation?
This Community of Christ building dedicated to peace, was formally dedicated in 1994, but had been a dream of Community of Christ since 1831.
What is the Temple?
A personal inward and outward journey of responsible stewardship and generosity that involves Jesus calling us to follow him and to inviting others to experience the transforming power of his grace.
What is Discipleship?
During times of physical, mental, or emotional distress, people may seek this sacrament from ministers. This sacrament opens a way for healing in whatever form it comes. Usually two elders administer this sacrament together.

A Community of Christ congregation that was built in 1888 and used to be the headquarters for the church, previsouly recognized as the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, known as the RLDS Church, until the Community of Christ Auditorium opened in 1958.
What is Stone Church?
How the Living God is "revealed" within Community of Christ. How we hear (as a body) God speaking through the Holy Spirit.
What is revelation?
Christ is risen! In Christ, God’s love finally will overcome all that demeans and degrades the creation, even death itself.
What is Resurrection or Eternal Life?
Can be requested by individuals, couples, families, households, groups, and congregations who want to feel God’s loving grace and guidance. Time is spent in preparation through prayer, spiritual practices, study, and discernment. Once adequate preparation is completed, the evangelist(s) offers a prayer.
What is an Evangelist's Blessing?
A summer camp for families to learn and grow together as disciples.
What is Reunion?
Various ministry and priesthood classes that ALL members of any age are invited to attend.
