When in doubt about whether something is allowed on an assignment, do this before turning it in.
What is ask your instructor?
This regulation prohibits repeatedly disturbing your neighbors with excessive noise and protects everyone's right to a reasonable level of peace and quiet.
What is Disturbance of the Peace?
These are used internally to help determine a student's disciplinary standing and appropriate sanctions, but they do not appear on your academic transcript.
What are conduct points?
Consent does not make this acceptable if an initiation activity could reasonably cause mental or physical discomfort, harassment, ridicule, or endanger participants.
What is hazing?
With one exception, all pets, including those visiting for a short time, are prohibited in Wesleyan student housing.

This Honor Code violation includes using AI-generated content without proper acknowledgment.
What is plagiarism?
Despite Connecticut law, this substance is prohibited everywhere on Wesleyan's campus.
What is marijuana (cannabis)?
Unlike an academic transcript, these records are maintained for six years and judicial incidents and resulting sanctions may be reported to graduate or professional schools while they are maintained.
What are student judicial (conduct) records?
If you report discriminatory harassment or sexual misconduct to any University employee, you will be referred to this office to learn about your rights, options, and available support.
What is the Office for Equity & Inclusion / Title IX Office?
This is the primary reason Wesleyan prohibits items like candles, fireworks, personal cooking appliances, and tampering with fire safety equipment.
What is fire safety (or preventing fires and protecting the community)?
This pledge affirms that your paper is your own work or that an exam was completed without improper assistance.
What is the Honor Pledge?
This policy encourages students to seek emergency medical assistance for themselves or others by allowing eligible students to avoid a formal judicial hearing if they complete required educational follow-up.
What is the Medical Amnesty Policy?
Before a hearing, students are entitled to review these documents that serve as the basis for the alleged violations.
What are the reports (or evidence) supporting the charges?
Wesleyan protects this right, as long as protests, demonstrations, or sit-ins do not disrupt University operations or infringe on the rights or safety of others.

Beer pong tables, beer funnels, keg stands, and other activities designed for rapid intoxication are prohibited under this regulation, regardless of a student's age.
What is Rapid Consumption of Alcohol (drinking games/alcohol paraphernalia)?
Conduct points are grouped into these three disciplinary statuses as they accumulate.
What are disciplinary warning (1-4 pts), disciplinary probation (5-9 pts), and separation from the University (10 or more pts)?
According to Wesleyan's policy, high-risk drinking is defined not only by the amount consumed but by drinking in a way that compromises this.

The Honor Code expects members of the Wesleyan community to take this when they observe an apparent violation.
What is constructive action?
Members of the University community are expected to do this when a University official acting within the scope of their responsibilities makes a reasonable request, including providing identification.

If you choose not to attend your scheduled hearing, the Community Standards Board may still do this.
What is proceed with the hearing using the available information?
Under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), once you enroll at Wesleyan, this person, not your parent or guardian, controls who can access your educational records.
