The central suburbs of Melbourne are much more gentrified than the outer suburbs. But the most dilapidated houses I've seen were in the USA.

Gentrified - renovated in a way that conforms to middle-class taste, richer, more expensive, more developed.

Dilapidated - (of a building or object) in a state of disrepair or ruin as a result of age or neglect.

Werribee is less gentrified than the CBD, Brighton or Fitzroy. Some houses in the USA need to be repaired
