A texture where there are many parts moving at the same time

The name given to describe the different sections of a piece

A rhythmic device which means that the piece does not start at the beginning of the bar

A phrase which is repeated immediately either higher or lower
What is a sequence?
A chord which is common to two keys and allows you to modulate (change) between one key and another
What is a pivot chord?
A texture where there is an additional melody (this could be above the rest of the parts)
What is a counter melody or what is a descant?
The name given to describe the rate at which the chords change in a piece
