Terms
This is the part of the computer that you place your fingers on to move/change the screen.
What is a trackpad?
This moves to the previous page in your browser history.
What is the back button/ key?
This is an application which allows you to send long messages and files.
What is gmail?
A highlighted or underlined text, image, or a button that when clicked, will take you to another page or website on the internet. This usually appears as underlined words or an image.
What is a link?
This is a saved shortcut that directs your browser to a specific webpage
What is a bookmark?
This is the park of the computer that you type letters on.
What is a keyboard?
This key is used if the page is not loading and you want to "restart" that page.
What is the reload button/key?
This is an online video sharing platform.
You can click on the '+' symbol to open this. You can visit a different website without losing access to the webpage you're on.
What is a tab?
Software, such as Google, Safari, Firefox or Microsoft Internet Explorer that is used to find information on the internet.
This component turns on and off the computer.
what is a Power button?
These buttons/keys will make make the screen easier to see depending on the amount of light going though.
What are the brightness buttons?
This is a website where you can type letters and various documents.
What is Google Docs?
A narrow, rectangular space in the browser window where you can type in a word, phrase or a web address. Hitting the magnifying glass, will take you to a results page where that information is located.
What is a search bar?
A small image on the screen indicating where you are pointing using your mouse on the screen.
What is a cursor?
This component of the mouse when clicked shows a menu of options (ex. copy, paste, translate, print, search may come up)
What is right clicking on a mouse?
This button turns the sound off.
This is a type of video calling software. You can either install it as an app or you can access it through your internet browser.
What is Zoom?
Also known as Wireless network, this is a way for your tablet to connect to the internet without using wires or cables. You can access networks in public or through a contract with an internet provider.
The first thing you see when you come to a website, or the opening page of a website.

This is how you scroll without a mouse?
What is Gliding/ sliding with TWO fingers on the touch pad?
This is the long key at the base of the keyboard.
What is the space bar?
This is a website where you can create and edit online spreadsheets that usually contain numbers and equations.
What is Google Sheets?
The practice of tricking Internet users (as through the use of deceptive email messages or websites) into revealing personal or confidential information which can then be used illicitly.
What is Phishing?
A small image or symbol representing an app, function, a command (such as print) or a file. When you tap on this, you start a command, open a file, or launch an App.
