A place to store information, usually referred to as ROM or RAM.

A set of typewriter-like keys that enable you to enter data into a computer.

A device that prints text or graphics onto a piece of paper.
What is a printer?
The letters ASDF and JKL; are referred to as this on your keyboard.
What is home row?
This device controls the quality of graphics in gaming or videos for the computer.
What is the Graphics Processing Unit, or GPU?
The little pictures on a desktop that represent software, files, and folders.
What are icons?
A device used to move the pointer around on the screen and select things.
What is a mouse?
This device displays the words, pictures, and videos from your computer for you to see.

Windows 10, Mac OS X are examples of these.

This device pulls cooler air into the computer to cool the hot circuitry, particularly the CPU.

A device that lets you video chat with someone, they can see what you're doing through this device.

This device allows fingers to touch the screen to manipulate what happens.

An electronic piece of equipment that is used to play sound.
What are speakers?
This device connects the computer to a phone line.
What is the modem?
This is often thought of as the "brains" of the computer. It is an extremely powerful calculator.
What is the Central Processing Unit or CPU?
A device that can scan text or images and translate them into digital code that a computer understands.
What is a scanner?
This device is designed to connect to a computer or console gaming system. It has multiple buttons and may have one or two mini joysticks. It is used to play games.
What is a video game controller?
A device that lets you get information out of the computer. It follows your commands.
What is an output device?
An optical digital disc for storing information, movies and other large data files.
What is a CD or DVD?
An input device that converts a pattern of printed bars into a number that a computer can read.
