Before Jesus entered into his blessed passion, resurrection from the dead, and glorious ascension into Heaven, knowing that his disciples would continue to need guidance to all truth, and encouragement to boldly proclaim the good news to all creation, Jesus promised to send THIS person, sometimes called the Paraclete, or advocate.
Who is the Holy Spirit
THIS is the first sacrament of initiation and causes the forgiveness of both original sin and personal sin, and even the punishments that are deserved for those sins.
What is Baptism
The Father is God, the first person of the blessed trinity. The Son is God, the second person of the blessed trinity, the Holy Spirit is THIS.
Who is God, the Third Person of the Blessed Trinity
The Anointing of the Sick is a sacrament of physical and spiritual healing performed by Jesus and recommended by the Apostle James. THIS sacrament of healing is received more frequently, and, like baptism, removes the guilt of your sins.
What is Confession
The gifts of the Holy Spirit were first revealed to the Prophet Isaiah, characterizing how the Messiah would rule his people: with spirit of wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, and fear of the Lord. Today we recognize THIS seventh gift of the Holy Spirit.
What is Piety
God calls each of us to build up the Body of Christ, the Church. He calls some in a special way to build up the Church within the sacrament of Holy Matrimony, by raising a family. Much fewer are those who are called to receive THIS sacrament, which teaches, governs, and sanctifies the Church.
What is Holy Orders
Jesus describes God as The Father, and Himself as the son. These are powerful images that reveal the strength and tender care of God for all his children and Jesus' brotherly love for his fellow men. Yet, the Holy Spirit, the most mystifying of the 3 persons of the blessed trinity, appears in sacred scripture under many forms including THIS.
What is Dove, Fire, Wind, etc.
In the liturgy of THIS sacrament, the local Bishop, or a priest on his behalf, will anoint your head with oil and lay his hand upon you to hand on the mission that Jesus gave to his Apostles, to tell the good news to all creation.
What is Confirmation
The Fruits of the Holy Spirit (different from the Gifts), are described in some of the letters of Saint Paul and serve as outward signs that you have received the Holy Spirit. They include joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, generosity, gentleness, faithfulness, modesty, self-control, chastity, and THIS, which Jesus commands us to do even to our enemies.
What is Love
The source and summit of our faith: THIS sacrament nourishes our body with the very body, blood, soul, and divinity of our LORD Jesus Christ so that he might always be with us until the end of the age.
