One must willingly consent to committing the sin
What are the 3 conditions for a sin to be mortal?
It is addictive, self-destructive; weakens the sinner and makes it more difficult to find true happiness
What are the negative effects of sin?
God, through Moses, commanded the Hebrew people to sacrifice a lamb and mark their doors with its blood. That night, the firstborn in every home in Egypt died, except those in homes with the blood spattered in their doorways. Pharoah then finally freed God's people from slavery in Egypt.
What is the historical event that occurred at the original Passover?
God created us to be in loving communion with Him for all eternity, but sin alienates us from Him; so He sent His Son Jesus to suffer and die to restore is into right relationship with Him. Jesus established the Church and through the Sacraments we receive a share in the very life of God.
What is Kerygma?
The state of preparation and purification for those who die in a state of grace but are not yet ready for Heaven due to remaining imperfections in their souls.
