Do wellness call and ask if contact needs QO/QRL to return to school and close as complete.

What should be done before calling a contact?
- check for other HH members with same phone #
- look for duplicates
- review address
- Look through form to know what kind of school setting, are they part of cluster, are they a minor, is there aneed for CT Assist / LN?
During interview of SS contact, the father is disputing Q because they say their child wasn’t in school that day. What should you do?
Try to complete the interview. Let them know we must verify that information with the school. Encourage them to quarantine, send QO, and put on follow-up. Fill out SEF and wait for response.
What do you do if you receive a contact who was previously positive within last 90 days?
Ask place, date and type of test. Send to supe in escalation format for confirmation of previous positive.
Ask contact to Q during confirmation process.

Type DOH-comcov@westchestergov.com in the email section and proceed to send QO.

Escalate to supe. They will connect with SS to get an immediate verification. It is important for school staff to return to school asap.

Can CT's encourage testing for contacts exposed to COVID?
YES, many testing sites have DRIVE-THRU options - tell contact to set up appointment online or via phone, drive there alone, wear mask, gloves, etc, and follow any guidelines the testing site gives.
You call S.M. and during interview contact says that he has cough, headache and fever and is asking if taking Tylenol is ok because he is not feeling good. What can you say?

What do you do if a school contact ends up having a second exposure?
Call the contact to inform them of new quarantine end date and resend QO.
If monitored by another CT, connect with CT to close 1 record and make sure QO is sent with new Q date.
