I don't have time right now. Can you call me back?

Sure, I completely understand. I would only need a few minutes of your time in order to run through a few health details to confirm your rates. We can run through this pretty quickly.

100

Nah. Just me.

My only concern is ensuring I help get the best coverage for your family and situation. So to be sure I understand, is looking for quotes for your spouse something you just hadn't given much thought to? Or was there a particular hesitation? No problem either way...

100

Can you just email me those quotes?

I completely understand. There is also no guarantee that the carrier will come back with an approval at this price. We might as well run through the interview, and see what [Carrier] approves you at. This way, you will have a final price to shop around instead of a quote. Even after approval, you have time to decide if you want to accept the policy or not. Does that make sense?

100

Can you just email it to me?

It's easier for me to run through these questions quickly and be on the line to answer any questions you may have. I'll get it emailed for you to review once we wrap up.

200

I'm heading into a meeting. Can you call me back later?

Since you picked up it only takes a few moments to verify the details you filled in online. I'll go as quickly as possible.

200

My spouse doesn't work.

Makes sense, are they taking care of the house/kids? In that case it may actually make more sense to have coverage for your spouse. The reason being it’s important to cover childcare costs if your spouse were to pass. I wouldn’t assume they’d need as much coverage as you, but it’s better to have something in place even if it’s a much smaller policy.

200

Email me those so I can talk to my spouse.

Completely understand, I'd do the same in your shoes! At this point, the quotes aren't actually guaranteed yet, so i'll quickly run you through a few more questions to get the ball rolling on a final offer, then you can talk over those final numbers with your spouse and make any adjustments before accepting. Sound good?

200

I don't want to commit to anything.

Completing an application is non-binding. It just allows the carrier to give you a formal offer instead of a tentative quote. Once approved, you can still accept or reject the policy.

300

I didn't hit the 'call me' button but you guys called me anyways...I'm not ready for a call.

I'm sorry about that. We try to get people while it's top of mind to confirm the details you entered and make sure you're getting accurate quotes.

300

My spouse has coverage through work.

Got it, I completely understand. We do recommend coverage outside of work, even if it is a smaller policy. Typically, work coverage expires when you leave or retire. We could look for a small face amount that makes sense. Starting an application for them would not add any additional time.

300

I'm not ready to make a decision.

My recommendation is to get an offer back from [Carrier Name]. Nothing here is firm until we get to that stage- then once you have that offer you will know what the final numbers are to make a decision and if anything changes we can shop it around to our 12+ carriers since we use a universal application that we can use to make sure you get the best offer possible. Does this make sense?

300

I don't have time to complete that.

It saves you a ton of time if we just run through it quickly. I'll go through it as fast as possible to be mindful of your time and so you won't have to go through another phone call.

400

I don't want to talk on the phone. Just email me everything.

We do require a quick call with a licensed agent to verify the information you filled in online. I'll go through it with you as quickly as possible.

400

I don't have the time or know their information. Just me for now.

So because you already answered the questions for yourself, we can quickly confirm the same details for your spouse to the best of your knowledge, and if there's anything we need clarification on, we can make sure to address them later.

400

I'm not sure what amount or term length I'm looking for.

No problem! The goal here is to get approved because these quotes could change. Once you get the final offer, you can then adjust the coverage and term and make those final decisions.

400

I'm not ready to apply

The application is non-binding. It just allows you to see if you would get an offer and if so, what that final offer would cost you. You can still accept or reject it at that time.
