Samaria was a rival land to Judea with a history that goes back generations all the way back to the ten tribes of Israel. It was not appropriate for Samarians to speaks with Jews. A very similar situation to black and whites during the segregation years in the United States.

What was blindness thought to have been tied to in the old testament? What did Jesus Christ say this mans blindness was a not a result of?

Blindness was thought to be tied to the corruption of human nature caused by the sin of either his parents or himself. In actuality that was not the case as stated by Christ. It is tied to the sin of Adam and Eve in paradise and the corruption of nature that flow through the seed of Adam.

The Father came to the son running and embraced him, even after wasting his fortune and using him for living an earthy life. This is how God the Father receives us so long as our heart is aware of the life of sin we lived and has made a change to accept the Father, He will come running to us. Why was the the story of the man born blind called the week of baptism?

Baptism is the renewal of our nature to align with God. When Adam and Eve sinned in paradise, the nature of humanity because corrupted. The eyes that were once blind to sin were "opened" and therefore corruption diseased our flesh. This included blindness, and Christ reversed that corruption in the flesh by creating eyes for the blind man. This is the same corruption in the spirit that is reversed in baptism.

The focus of this week is to lay our treasures in heaven by focusing on God. He knows your needs and wants. You must focus on Him first to have the proper direction and..."all these shall be added to you" meaning you will be given what you need. The writer of First week of lents Gospel is Matthew.

What does the "Good and pious" brother represent in our lives?

The pious brother represents those who live a fake life with the father. His goodness is only to attain self glorification from him and people around him. These people are depicted as being lukewarm and deceptive. In the eyes of God they are worse than the repentant sinner, for they not only lie to God but themselves.

Why did the samaritan woman get water at the well during the middle of the day? 

Midday was the hottest time of day. Rarely did people come out and carry a heavy pot of water to their home during this time. Only if you were trying to avoid people in the town would you get water at that time. Christ met her even during her avoidance of sin, "Give me a drink" John 4:7

What is so special about this particular week in respect to Jesus Christ being known as God? Give you reasoning

This is the first time Christ showed that he is a Creator. He created eyes from mud and placed them in the blind mans head. This is the same pattern of creation that is seen in Genesis. "For God created man from the dust of the ground"
