When Thrall first came to Kalimdor he met Cairne Bloodhoof. They form an alliance so that Cairne can relocate his people from the Barrens to Mulgore because of the abundance of quillboar. In return Cairne helps Thrall and his people set up a new home in Durotar.
It was centaurs, especially in the open plains of Mulgore being able to travel much faster and chasing the Tauren down.
According to the Disiddia series, every Final Fantasy game is connected in the same multiverse through The Void. Gilgamesh is one character appearing in multiple games traveling the void to collect swords that he may once again find his rival Enkidu and duel him.
His rival is actually Bartz, the main character from Final Fantasy V.
Dark Souls 2 is seen a little bit like a black sheep in within Soulsborne. This is because the original creator Miyazaki didn't oversee development. It does however have the most DLCs with three. Crown of the Sunken King, Scholar of the First Sin and Crown of the Ivory King.
Scholar of the First Sin was the name of the rerelease of the game and the DLC missing is Crown of the Old Iron King.
Some Ascended beings fighting for Emperor Azir of Shurima later became corrupted and turned into Darkin. Beings that had to be imprisoned within their own weapons. Aatrox, Varus and Rhaast are in the game while the 11 others have been confirmed from other sources.

As the Assassin's Creed games take place in our world, you can meet plenty of historical figures along the way. You have conversations with Leonardo Da Vinci and Benjamin Franklin and do battle with Hephaistos and even Anubis.
Hephaistos only ever appear in the games narratively, you never see or meet him.
While in Northrend, Arthas hires mercenaries to destroy his own ships to prevent his mission of becoming the Lich King from being interrupted. He and his men then slaughters the paid mercenaries for destroying the ships.
His mission was to destroy Mal'Ganis, not to become the Lich King.
Cloud Strife is known for being equipped with the Buster Sword but curiously he is the third person to use it. In the FF7 prequels, Crisis Core, Cloud is given the sword by his friend Zack Fair as he sacrifices himself to save him. Zack in turn had gotten it from his mentor, a former SOLDIER known as Sephiroth.
Zacks mentor was actually Angeal Hewley.
In Elden Ring lore, Radahn managed to stop the stars from crashing into the Lands Between through using Gravity Magic, which he learned from an Alabaster lord to save the Lands Between.
It was actually to not impair his horse Leonard due to how old and frail he had become.
League of Legends has had many different items added and removed over the years. Some of the earlier items where stackable goldgain items giving you extra passive income. The items of Sorcerer's Stone, Heart of Gold and Kage's Lucky Pick were all bought frequently.
Sorcerer's Stone was actually Philosophers stone.
The first time we see Ezio Auditore da Firenze, the protagonist of Assassins Creed 2, he enters into a battle of banter with a rival family. When Ezio gets hit in the face by a rock thrown it ends up in an all out brawl ending with Ezio and his brother winning but having to run before authorities show up.
The first time you see Ezio is actually as soon as he is born.
Nathanos Blightcaller, Sylvanas champion, actually knew her in life. They both worked as rangers defending Quel'Thalas along with other Farstriders, including Lor'themar Theron. After being turned to the scourge and before becoming forsaken, Nathanos attacked Lor'themar, damaging one of his eyes, leading to their later strained relationship.
Nathanos never attacked Lor'themar. He was the only human being included in the Farstrider order despite pushback.
In FF8, there are summons known as Guardian Forces. Some of these are juncionable, allowing you to summon them on command to aid you in combat.
Diablos uses Dark Messenger, Ifrit uses Hellfire and Eden uses Mega Flare
Eden uses Eternal Breath, Bahamut uses Mega Flare
In Sekiro: Shadows die twice, you play as an unnamed Shinobi working to defend Kuro, the divine heir. Half-way through the game, you can choose to betray Kuro and get the Shura ending, skipping a large part of the game.
Sekiro is actually the given name of the main character, also known as Wolf or Ookami.
Yordles are a mysterious species taking many different forms that mostly live in Bandle City, like Teemo and Yuumi, while others are traveling in Runeterra like Ziggs and Poppy.
Yuumi is not a yordle. She is a cat familiar once belonged to Norra.
In Assassin's Creed 3, you play as two different characters, Haytham Kenway and then his son Connor Kenway. The game takes place in colonial America during the founding of the United States, however, the big plot twist comes at the end of the game when you learn Haytham is actually a templar, the enemy of the assassins.
The plot twist doesn't come at the end of the game but just partway through the game at the end of Sequence 3.
Hakkar the Houndmaster and Hakkar the Soulflayer are two different entities in Warcraft. Chris Metzen created The Soulflayer as a Loa for the Trolls while The Houndmaster was created by the writer of the War of the Ancient triology, Knaak. He later apologized as he had no idea there was a character with the same name already.
It was actually Chris Metzen who apologized as he created the Loa after the demon had already been established and he just forgot.
In FFXIV you can play a variety of different jobs. The first additional job after ARRs release was added in Heavensward where 3 jobs were added and then an additional 2 jobs have been added in every expansion since.
Ninja was added in patch 2.4 as it wasn't ready for release of A Realm Reborn.
While every souls game except for Sekiro has starting classes, the names for the Bloodborne ones are the most unique. Classes like "Milquetoast", "Gifted Child", "Violent Past" and "Waste of Skin"
The League of Legends roster has a lot of siblings. The complex sisters of Morgana and Kayle, the dueling half-brothers of Yasuo and Yone and the estranged Noxians Draven and Darius.
Draven and Darius are actually close to eachother.
In the first game, you cannot swim. This is explained through the fact that Altaïr, the character you play as, never learned how to swim after a traumatic experience as a child. It has since become a core mechanic in the game and every mainline game since allows you to swim in some capacity.
It is explained as a bug in the animus that causes you to desynchronize.
Ahead of Cataclysm, the now infamous "Red Shirt Guy" asked the developers a question about Falstad Wildhammer. The developers had messed up and thought the character had died in the newly released book "The Shattering" when in fact he was alive and even existed ingame in The Hinterlands
They actually thought it was from "Day of the Dragon" a book released in 2001, before the release of WoW.
Cid is a recurring character that is present in every mainline Final Fantasy game. He has appeared as a headmaster, pilot, inventor, regent and in Crystal Chronicles, even as a moogle.
In the Dark Souls series you play as a hollow. A type of undead human. While this is true for the whole series, the name given to the main character is different. Known as The Chosen Undead in Dark Souls, The Bearer of the Curse in Dark Souls 2 and The Ashen One in Dark Souls 3.
You don't play as a hollow in Dark Souls 3. You play as an unkindled, a different type of undead.
Aurora, the newest champion in the game, has been in the works for a long time. Revealed in a recent interview, at one point she was supposed to have Sylas kit, but Riot decided against releasing another Vastayan (animal people) so soon after Xayah and Rakan.
The reason was actually that playtesters hated being killed with their own spells by a cute bunnygirl.
Multiplayer was introduced in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. This was a PvP gamemode where everyone played as an assassin being given another player as your target. Killing your target would grant you points and killing someone else would only force them to respawn, costing them precious seconds.
You could only ever kill your target or stun players specifically chasing you. Never kill anyone else. This gamemode was some of the most fun I've ever had playing a video game and it's criminal that it was removed.
