Your friends are great one-on-one. But when they get together, they get really mean. At lunch, they're making fun of someone you know for how they're dressed and saying things like "they must not be able to afford nice clothes". You start to feel uncomfortable. What do you do?

Why is attendance to school so important?
It is the LAW. You need to be at school every day and on time per New Hampshire state law. (unless you are sick and/or have a doctor's note)
Additionally, if you miss school it can be difficult to catch up on work which can make your grades slip and work start to pile up. If you miss school, you may miss out on events, projects, etc.
