The journey of a British merchant that started in England with goods to trade then those goods were traded for slaves in Africa. Next,  the slaves were landed in the West Indies where they worked on plantations and grew more goods and finally those goods were sold back to England.

In the 1700s sugar cane was introduced to the West Indies and the farmers there were making tons of money selling sugar to Britain. In America at the time Tobacco and Cotton were the main crops but due to Northern demand the prices were going down, to counter this the farmers decided to start growing sugar.
