100

When should you practice Social Distancing at work?

You should always practice Social Distancing, this includes in the restrooms, in the lunchroom, in your group area, and in the work area. It is important to keep a safe distance to protect yourself and others.

100

It is safe to share pens, pencils, and markers with each other?

No. We have clean and dirty buckets for our writing utensils. Always take one from the clean bucket and when you are done, put it in the dirty bucket.

100

What do you do if your mask gets wet, dirty, tears, or breaks?

You should change into another mask if you have one or ask your staff to get you a different mask to wear. If it is a disposable mask, you should throw it away. If it is a cloth/reusable mask you should take it home and wash it.

100

Should you wear your friend’s mask because you like it?

No, you should not wear a mask that someone else has been wearing. This will spread germs.

100

Is it safe to take your mask off during lunch and break while you are sitting?

Yes, the lunchroom is set up so that we are all seated 6 feet apart. It is safest if we only remove our masks while eating. We can still talk to each other with our masks on.

100

Is it safe to remove/move your mask to sneeze or cough?

No, it is not safe to remove or move your mask to cough or sneeze. This is part of the reason we are wearing them, to keep our germs to ourselves, and out of the air.

100

How many feet apart is Social Distancing?

6 Feet, which is about 2 arm lengths away (double personal space), so if you and the other person stick your arm straight out, they should not touch.

100

What should you do if you need a break from wearing your mask?

You should talk to your staff; they can take you to a safe place to remove your mask for a few minutes until you are ready to put it back on.

100

Where is the safe place to wait for your ride if you are not feeling well and need to go home for the day?

There is an area set up in the lunchroom where anyone that is not feeling well can safely sit and wait for their ride. There is a chair and table in the area so you can work on an activity if you want while you wait. Staff will sit outside the area until you leave. You will be able to see them and they can see you.

100

Where do you put your mask during lunch?

Each week, staff gives everyone a personal yellow envelope. We should place our mask in the envelope during the time we are eating. We should resume wearing our mask after we finish eating.

100

Should you wear your mask when you get up from the table in the lunchroom?

Yes, everyone should have their masks on when we are up and moving around. If you walk to the vending machine, your locker, the sink, the garbage can, or must go to the restroom, you should have your mask on. Someone else might be up and moving around too, so you might be within 6 feet of each other at that time.

100

When should we wear a mask at work?

All the time, unless you are eating. When we are finished eating, we should put our mask back on. We can talk to each other with a mask on, even if there is a clear, plastic divider between you and your peer. If you need a break from wearing your mask, please let your staff know.

100

If we are making calendars or something that requires markers, should we share markers with our friend?

If we are wearing a mask, is it okay to hug a friend you haven’t seen in a while?

No, this is not practicing social distancing. Also, hugging isn’t generally something we do when we are at work.

100

Are we allowed to sit directly across from someone at lunch, if there is a clear, plastic divider between us?

Yes, there are now clear, plastic dividers on the lunch tables so that we can sit across from someone but still remain safe, when eating.

If we are at work, and we start to feel sick,  should we left staff know?

Yes. If you are sent home, it is for your safety and your peers’ safety.

If you are wearing a mask and need to cough or sneeze, should you still cough or sneeze into your elbow?

Yes. Even though you are wearing a mask, if you cough or sneeze, you are still expelling droplets and air through the mask and into the air.

100

Is it safe to remove your mask while you are in the bathroom?

If you are fixing your mask in the bathroom, make sure you keep a safe distance from others, but we should always be wearing our masks in the restrooms. We can cough or sneeze while in the stall and the germs will go onto the stall, handles, or toilet paper holder where other people touch. Let staff know if you need a break from wearing your mask.

100

If we get on the access bus, and notice symptoms of being sick; like a sore throat, runny/stuffy nose, or headache, should we tell the staff taking our temperature before we walk into the building?

Yes. Tell the staff that is outside that you began to not feel well on your ride in. They can alert the inside staff.

100

If you get the vaccine does that mean you do not have to wear a mask or practice Social Distancing?

No, even if you are vaccinated, we all need to continue to follow the safety guidelines to keep each other safe. We will have other people in the program that did not get vaccinated.

100

Should we be mad if we get the vaccine and others in the workshop didn’t or chose not to?

No, the vaccine is a personal choice. There are going to be people in the program that do not have the vaccine. This is why we wear our mask and continue to practice social distancing.
