What is.. It varies. So under emergency use authorization Pfizer is approved for ages 12 and up. However, under FDA full approval the age is 16 and up.

Is it safe for pregnant women to get vaccinated?

What is... Yes, According to the New England Journal of Medicine, over 35,000 women have been vaccinated during pregnancy with no increase in problems with pregnancy. Their is also no reported problems in their babies.

•Women with COVID-19 who gave birth had a higher in-hospital mortality rate at 0.13% compared with women who did not have COVID-19, whose rate was 0.01%.

What is... Yes, All vaccines are held to the same standard and must pass all scientific and clinical testing that all vaccines in development are held too. A CDC study from March 11-August 15,2021 showed the Moderna vaccine to be 93% effective in preventing Covid-19 hospitalizations, Pfizer-BioNTech was 88% effective, and Johnson and Johnson (Janssen) was 71%.

What is the difference between a booster shot and a third dose? 

What is... Booster: is an additional dose of a vaccine given after the protection provided by the original shot(s) has begun to decrease over time. The booster is designed to help people maintain their level of immunity for longer. Boosters are recommended 6 months after your second dose. Third Dose: of (Pfizer or Moderna) is identical to the first two doses. It can help protect people with weakened immune systems who did not have a strong enough response to the first two doses of one of the mRNA vaccines. Such people can get a third dose as soon as 28 days after a second dose.

•Tips to reduce pain & discomfort: Apply a clean, cool, wet washcloth over the area and use or exercise your arm.

•Tips to reduce discomfort from fever: Take OTC medications if recommended for you, drink plenty of fluids, dress lightly

•Not recommended to take OTC medications (ibuprofen, Tylenol, aspirin, antihistamines before vaccination to prevent side effects.
