No, it is never ok. We always need to ask and keep quiet hands while waiting for a response.

You can let them know what is on their shirt so they can pick it off themselves or they can ask a staff member for help

We do not hug at school typically. Instead of a hug we can use kind words, or ask to give them a hand shake, high five or fist bump
