The three steps that the IP goes through in the CR reader in order to extract the latent image.
What is: stimulate, read, and erase.

contains lead to reduce back-scatter, or scatter that travels 180° towards the back of the cassette. Also contains a soft polymer that protects the back of the cassette

contains the PSPs. This layer contains the binder that holds the PSPs in place. And it may also contain a dye which prevents light from spreading too much
