The overhanging trees were gnarled and bowed forming eerie silhouettes in the approaching dusk. Not a breeze blew, not a bird chirped; no sound; no movement just deathly silence and stillness and the pungent smell of decaying bush. Involuntarily, I felt myself shiver.
