Making Ooblech.
What is a physical change?
100
Positive and a positive will do this when brought together.
What is repel?
100
Direct development is one the child is born looking like what, or who?
What is the parent organism?

Vents in the Earth's crust that lava and steam can travel through.
What are volcanoes?
200
Draw and label a series circuit.
See the board

Making carbon dioxide gas out of vinnegar and baking soda.
What is a chemical reaction?
200
A negative and a positve will do this when brought together.
What is attract?

Mealworms, butterflies, and many other creatures go through complete metamorphisis. Describe the 4 stages that the mealworm goes through.
Egg, larvae, pupa, and beetle. Remember this is called complete metamorphisis.
200
Cracks in the Earths's crust.
What is a fault? It's not my fault there is a crack in the Earth's crust.
300
Draw and label a parallel circuit
See the board

Ways to tell if a physical change has occurred.
What are reversible, no change in color, smell, or substance?
300
This is how we know that the Earth is a giant magnet.
What is compasses work?
300
Name three recessive traits.
What are left handed, can't taste PTC, can't roll tongue, straight hairline, light color of hair, blue/green eyes, etc.
300
Name the three main causes of erosion.
What are wind, water, and ice.
400
A circuit will never work if it does not contain this essential piece.
What is a power source?
400
Ways to tell if a chemical reaction has occurred.
What are not reversible, change in color, smell, temperature, and you get a new substance?
400
What is an electrogmagnet, how does it work and what is an example of one?
A piece of metal that becomes a magnet only when it is hooked up to a power source, or electricity is running through it. A junkyard magnet, or firedoors or great examples.
400
Name three dominant traits.
Can taste PTC, widow's peek, right handed, can roll tongue, dark hair, brown eyes, etc.
400
What is the word that means "layering sediments" and tell me what sediments are?
Sediments are little pieces of rock or dirt. Deposition.

Explain the process of how a balloon can stick to the wall.
Balloon is neutral. It rubs against your hair taking many electrons. (Your hair is left with a positive charge, thus it repels against itself.) The balloon is negative and the wall is neutral. The neutral wall will attract the negative (electrons) from the balloon.
500
Name 3 physical changes and 3 chemical reactions.
Physical: Ooblech, diet coke/mentos, making butter, mixing ingredients to make bread, breaking a pencil, tearing paper, borax crystals, salt crystals etc. Chemical: Vinnegar/baking soda, bleach/ammonia,blobber, etc. sugar crystals are both.
500
What is the name of the strongest magnet that I showed you during class?
Neodymium

Two tall pea plants bread together made 4 other tall plants. Explain why a tall plant and a short plant bread together still made three tall plants and only one short. Draw this on the board if you wish.
