In order to estimate metrics about user behavior (such as visits/pageviews/bounce rates, etc.) on specific sites, we use our proprietary algorithm based on the processing of anonymized clickstream data we obtain from third-party data providers. More precisely, we built a model that allows us to estimate the metrics based on real user activity on the internet. Our partners provide us with worldwide data so that we are able to estimate the metrics on global and national levels. Site Audit:

How the Bot Works: We crawl pages of specified domain/subdomain/subfolder and perform a list of checks (around 100). We start from the main page and go in-depth or use a list of pages from sitemap.xml (the crawling mode is selected in settings).

Upon crawling, our bot will automatically attempt to crawl the sitemap, robots.txt, root domain, https, and http version until it is redirected to the canonical version. It will then follow the links within the source code from page-to-page until it has crawled all pages within the limit set by the user.

Why Use: Site Audit has over 120 checks for SEO issues, ranging from surface-level issues like duplicate content and broken links to technical issues like HTTPS implementation and the hreflang attribute on an international website.
