Through the student's profile (Assignments section) or the Student Roster — select the parent under "Assign to."
Is there a feature to bulk-update a recurring college visit availability time slot?
Yes — edit the first slot and it applies to the rest.
Students receive notifications about college visits even before they've registered for their Scoir account.

Can you filter students by the academic focus they selected (like visual arts) right out of the box?
No — but a school can create a custom property for it, then add it to their roster or filter by it.
Can a teacher's registered email address be changed by the school or by Support?
No — only the account holder can; otherwise the school has to add them again under the new email.
For an open college visit where you've set a max number of colleges that can register, can you manually add colleges?
No — but you can set up a second "closed" visit with them at the same time, or send them the URL to register on their end.
Scattergrams always show a student's current GPA, even for colleges they applied to months ago with a different GPA.
True — there's no way to freeze GPA at the point of application.
A school reaches out now wanting to opt into the Common App integration for that year — can that still happen, and under what circumstances?
Depends on whether students have already requested recommenders.
If a college rep messages a counselor, how can the counselor see the rep's email address?
Go to the Colleges tab, then Contacts, filter by college, and click on their contact.
If a school has "Allow Teachers to see profiles of students who have requested recommendations" turned off, can teachers still see forms a student filled out, like a brag sheet?
No — with that setting off, they can't click into the student's profile at all.
Is the Manage Documents tab automatically filtered to a counselor's own caseload?
No — it shows the whole senior class by default; you have to apply the Counselor Assignment filter to narrow it to your students.
A parent can sign a required FERPA release in Scoir even before the student has registered for their own account.
False — the student has to register and be linked to the parent and school first.
Why might a counselor see no documents available to send for one college, like University of Florida, but not another?
The college doesn't require any initial documents.
Where in Scoir can a counselor see majors students have added to their Applying/Applied tiles at scale?
In the Applications Overview table, the Applications and Outcomes report, and the Student Engagement table on the college profile.
Once a student graduates, are documents like letters of recommendation automatically deleted from their record?
No, they remain on file.
A school that ranks has a few transfer students who aren't ranked — what suggestion would you give them when completing their SSRs?
Temporarily turn off class rank in the school's SRT and save, then create the SSRs for those transfer students without a rank and save those, then turn class rank back on in the SRT for the rest of the class.
Schools can start setting their fall college visit availability in Scoir before rollover happens.

A counselor reports that application rounds and requirements aren't showing for a student's Common App colleges — what could the issue be? (Hint: multiple options)
The school hasn't completed its SSR template yet, the student hasn't connected CA or signed FERPA, or the student hasn't entered their preferred start term and application plan.
Where do the document requirements for Common App colleges in Scoir come from, and can they be changed?
They come directly from Common App, so they can't be changed in Scoir.
If a student is archived, does their data still show up on scattergrams?
Yes, it still appears.
In Manage Documents, if a document is missing but the student doesn't have any colleges in Applying or Applied status yet, what tag shows in that cell?
Blank — there's nothing yet to check the document against.
If a student's "Other Recommender" completes their letter through Common App instead of Scoir, it'll sync back and show as fulfilled in Scoir.
False — it doesn't sync back, but for CA-opted schools it also won't show as needing attention.
Where can a counselor check a student's FERPA status or Common App connection status?
Not on the Manage Documents tab — that lives on the Student Roster or the student's profile.
The "Show requirements for" control in Manage Documents (Applying & Applied / Applying Only / Applied Only) — does it filter which students show in the table?
No — it doesn't hide or show rows; it changes the calculation behind every cell, using each student's own set of colleges.
