Guns kill people. More guns automatically means more violence. Gun and crime rates in US vs other countries. Mass killings with guns happen too much.
How do Russians generally feel about Vladimir Putin?
Many disagree with the war. Families are hurt because young men are drafted unwillingly and sent to fight. They also disagree with the strict laws Putin has placed. Protests occur often and many arrests are made.
Used to make themselves look good and their opponents looks bad. May question the integrity of the opposition or of the election itself. Creates conspiracies and plants negative ideas of the opposition in people's heads.

At this point, most Palestinians have been caged into the Gaza Strip. Trying to leave is often met with gun fire. They are low on supplies and much of the area is reeling from bombings. Hamas remains in power. There have been talks of cease fires and peace.

Protection. Good guy with a gun stops a bad guy with a gun. Protect your home. Hunting. Sense of security. Will never get rid of all guns, especially illegal ones.

Has had a lot of outside help. US has spent billions of dollars to support their resistance. They have become aggressive, not just defensive. The threat of joining NATO worries Putin.

Palestinians have been removed from their homes and gunned down by the IDF. Israelis have been the victims of terrorist attacks, especially by Hamas in 2023.

It protects the right to bear arms, meaning people are allowed to have guns. It was originally created to stop the government from being tyrants.
What is NATO and why does Russia not want Ukraine to join it?
National Atlantic Treaty Organization. A military alliance of major western powers (US, UK, France, etc.) Ukraine joining it would automatically pit all these NATO countries against Russia in this war.
Explain the electoral college and how it works.
It is how the US elections work. Each state has a certain amount of votes. State citizens cast vote. For most states, if 51% of votes go to one candidates and 49% go to another, then ALL electoral votes in the state go to the candidate that won 51%.
Who is Hamas?
A radical political and militant group that essentially speaks for Palestine in Gaza. They have been designated a terrorist group by much of the world. Palestinians mostly support them because most do not see a peaceful solution to this conflict.

Many different valid responses. Very tightly contested. States are deciding. People protesting. People worried it will banned across the entire country. Illinois allows abortion. People have to cross state lines to get access. Etc.
What is the current status or challenge of gun culture in the United States today?
Many illegal guns in the US. Argument of if guns kill people or if people kill people. Random acts of violence trigger calls to action. Not much changes law-wise.
Why has Russia attacked Ukraine?
Land and resources. It is the breadbasket up Europe (supplies a lot of food). To regain land lost from the Soviet Union days. Putin sees Ukrainians as being "Little Russians." Does not want Ukraine to join NATO.

Kamala and Trump. A LOT. Kamala more liberal and Trump more conservative.
Why has this conflict between Israel and Palestine come about?
Jews wanted to create a state for Jews only, known as Zionism. They were given permission by Britain to occupy Palestinian land around the holy city of Jerusalem. Palestinians were kicked out of their homelands, and away from Jerusalem, which is also a holy city to them. Since then there has been near constant fighting for land they each think is theirs.
