Q- What is the theme of the passage below?
"Mom, I'm not a baby! I don't need a babysitter!" Della complained.
"Della dear, She's not as bad as you think. And besides, It'll only be two hours." Her mom replied.
"Two hours is forever! And I know what a babysitter is like! I just know it!" She screamed. Della ran out the front door and stomped her way to school.
When school was over, Della walked slowly home. But it seemed like one blink of and eye she was home. Della was surprised to smell chocolate cookies when she opened the door. And instead of a grouchy lady like had she imagined, there was a young teenage girl smiling at her. This was only the beginning. Della never realized that the babysitter would help her on homework, teach her how to make hot dogs and let her watch T.V. While they talked and laughed time flew by very fast. By the time they finished making hot dogs, Della's parents were home. Della didn't want her babysitter to go, but her parents promise that she'll babysit her again. Della never thought that babysitters only sit babies.
