Brightest and most efficient light source to date
What is LED?
LEDs are little semiconductors that emit light when current runs through them. LEDs emit a fraction of the heat emitted by incandescent and other lights, making them much more efficient.
The three different colors of light that the short, medium, and large cone sizes inside the human eye can perceive
What is red, green, and blue?
Due to the fact that our eyes are very good at seeing these colors, we’ve used them as primary colors in all of our screens and denoted a color code based off of having different levels of each of these colors (RGB).

What Day(s) of the year does the sun rise directly due east and set directly due west?
What is Spring and Fall equinox?
In all locations of the Earth in equinox, the sun is positioned lateral to Earth. As it rises and sets, the angle that it travels against the Earth is equal to the latitude of the observer (~45 degrees for us).
The reason USA's solar noon is closer to 1pm than 12pm during the Summer months
What is daylight savings time?
Daylight savings time was initially created during WWI to reduce artificial light in order to conserve fuel for wartime use during summer months. Because of this, it was originally dubbed "war time."

What is the quantity of light from a standard candle that hits a square foot area surface one foot away?
The color that disappears first when you descend in water
What is the color red?
This is due to the fact that water is better at absorbing high wavelengths of light than low wavelengths. This means that red sunlight gets absorbed much faster than blue light, which can go very deep underwater. This is why the ocean we see is blue.
Building in the 19th century became more advanced after this material was added to concrete to increase its tensile strength
(hint: it's not an additive)
What is rebar (or reinforcing steel)?
Rebar was created when a French gardener put an iron mesh in concrete to create a stronger flower pot. Ever since then, the idea has been used to keep concrete from breaking when exposed to tension.

The complimentary color to red in both CMY and RYB color wheels
What is Cyan(CMY) and Green(RYB)?
Red, blue, and yellow have been used as primary colors in art for centuries because of how well they could mix pigments together. However, cyan, magenta, and yellow are more accurate primary colors because they interact with how the eye sees light.
The reason why the sky is blue
What is Rayleigh scattering?
Particles in the air scatter short wavelength light much more than long wavelength light. The color blue scatters in the atmosphere which is why we can see it from all angles and not just the sun. This is also why red and yellow light can be seen during sunrise and sunset (because the shorter wavelengths are all scattered away).
The issue that plagued many students for decades in this room after a third floor was added to this building in 1920
What are large columns obstructing view?
After renovations to the hall that added a third floor, the largest room, 212, originally had large columns that supported the floor above. These columns obstructed the view of the blackboard for 75% of students until they were replaced with a laminated beam.
