إِذَا
and when
نُشِرَتْ
are spread [i.e., made public]
وَإِذَا ٱلْجِبَالُ
when the mountains
حُشِرَتْ
are gathered
وَإِذَا ٱلْمَوْءُۥدَةُ
And when the girl [who was] buried alive
الشمس
the sun
وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ
And when the sky
سُيِّرَتْ
are removed
وَإِذَا ٱلْبِحَارُ
And when the seas
سُئِلَتْ
is asked
كورت
كُشِطَتْ
stripped away
وَإِذَا ٱلْعِشَارُ
And when full-term she-camels
سُجِّرَتْ
are filled with flame
بِأَىِّ ذَنۢبٍۢ
For what sin
وَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ
when the stars
وَإِذَا ٱلْجَحِيمُ
And when Hellfire
عُطِّلَتْ
are neglected
وَإِذَا ٱلنُّفُوسُ
And when the souls
قُتِلَتْ
she was killed
ٱنكَدَرَتْ
dispersing,
سُعِّرَتْ
is set ablaze
وَإِذَا ٱلْوُحُوشُ
And when the wild beasts
زُوِّجَتْ
are paired
وَإِذَا ٱلصُّحُفُ
