Who is King Darius?
These envious people trickily convinced the king to make a new law just to trap Daniel.
This was the exact punishment for anyone caught breaking the king's new law.
Thrown into the lions' den
God sent this special messenger to shut the mouths of the lions so they wouldn't hurt Daniel.
An angel
Daniel was completely unharmed by the wild animals because he had ultimate trust in this.

According to the text, Daniel did this three times a day, even after he knew about the law.

When Daniel was pulled out of the den, the king saw that Daniel didn't have a single one of these on his body.
Scratch or wound
The administrators couldn't find any corruption or negligence in Daniel because he had this character trait.

Daniel faced toward this holy city every single time he knelt down to pray at his window.

The king's new law said that for 30 days, people could only pray to this person.

This object was placed over the mouth of the den and sealed with the king's signet ring.

At the end of the story, King Darius wrote a new decree commanding everyone in the kingdom to do this.
Fear and respect the living God.
Daniel held this top leadership position in the kingdom, making the other leaders jealous of him.
Governor / supervisor / chief administrator
Once a law was signed by a Medo-Persian king, this is what could not be done to it.
Changed or repealed
The king spent the night doing this because he was so worried about Daniel.
Fasting (not eating, sleeping, or enjoying entertainment)
Even though King Darius wanted to rescue Daniel, he couldn't because he had to protect his own personal trait of doing this.
Keeping his word / upholding the law.
The jealous leaders realized the only way they could trap Daniel was by finding something against him regarding this.
The law of his God
This is what happened to the wicked administrators who tricked the king after Daniel was saved.
They (and their families) were thrown to the lions instead.
Daniel was chosen to lead because the Bible says he had an "excellent" one of these.
An excellent spirit.
