Relationships are often based on common interests. Common interests can make conversation easier and help you connect with someone who might already like some of the same things that you do.
What is an open ended question? Can you give an example?
Open-ended questions are questions that cannot be answered with a simple 'yes' or 'no', and instead require someone to provide more details on their thoughts. An open question requires a longer answer that gives thoughts, ideas, opinions or experiences.

Follow-up questions are used to ask for more details and to try to get our conversation partners to share their ideas and experiences.

A conversation hog is when someone dominates or controls the majority of the conversation and does most of the talking without giving the other person a chance to share.

Why should we avoid getting too personal when messaging someone?
ANYONE could possibly see the things we say and once we put it in a message we cannot take something back. Make sure anything you send in a message is something you would be comfortable with other people possibly seeing.
Dating
Spending time with someone by going on dates with each other.
What are some signs someone might not be interested in a conversation?
Bad body language, no eye contact, one word responses, looking at their phone.
Act out what it looks and sounds like when someone is being an interviewer?
An interviewer will bombard someone with endless questions without giving the person much time to think about what they want to share or to ask follow up questions back.
Make Connected Comments
Making sure to stay on topic and listening to what the other person is saying and responding appropriately. Showing you are listening, focused, and interested in what the other person is saying.
What should you do if you send someone 2 messages and they still have not answered after a few hours?
Be patient and remember no response might be the response. People will respond when they get the chance. Continuing to send messages will not make them respond more quickly.
In a relationship
Who is it NEVER appropriate to date?
A minor if you are an adult or an adult if you are a minor. Anyone you receive services from (doctor, therapist, counselor, teacher, coach). Someone who does not treat you with respect.
Act out an example of someone policing someone else in a conversation?
Telling the person what to do; making sure they are following the rules; reminding them of the rules; acting like you are in charge.

Things got awkward and you both did not know what to say to continue the conversation. Maybe there were no open ended questions, follow up questions, or connected comments.
