The methods an Agency has two methods to obtain information to assist HUD in determining or adopting maintenance wage rates
What are:
a. obtaining wage rates from existing published sources (e.g., Bureau of Labor Statistics, DOL, state or local government entities, schools, hospitals, etc.), or
b. conducting an informal survey of local entities that employ personnel performing the same duties as the Agency’s maintenance staff.

These are the steps to completing a conformance request
Step 1. The contractor will submit a conformance request in Elations.
Step 2: We sign it and send it to DOL
Step 3: DOL reviews it.
Step 4: We track that conformance request
A worker classification is needed for a project that is not included in the applicable wage decision. The Agency must complete file this request by submitting this form to DOL. And this form must be included in the documentation for the monitoring review.
What are a conformance request and an SF 1444?
True or false? Pre-apprenticeship programs not registered with DOL can be paid less than the journeyman rate.
False, they must be paid the full journeyman rate.
How often should an Agency conduct interviews?
Agencies have discretion regarding how often and which laborers/subs they choose to interview. But as a general rule, they want to get a representative sample of the different classifications and subcontractors throughout the project (beginning, middle, and end), meaning whenever there is a new subcontractor on-site, they want to get some interviews. Additionally, they are encouraged to target interviews whenever they find something suspicious on the CPRs
These are examples of Operations work that require HUD determined or adopted wage rates.
Operations typically consist of maintenance work, which falls under two categories: routine and nonroutine.
HUD regards it as work that involves the regular upkeep and preservation of buildings, grounds, and facilities. Examples of maintenance work include, but are not limited to:
1. groundskeeping,
2. janitorial work,
3. patching and/or finishing interior and exterior walls and other surfaces, and
4. the inspection, repair, and general upkeep of electrical, plumbing, and heating and air conditioning systems.
