What is "windows of opportunity" and "developmental windows" as it relates to brain development?

Pretty much the same thing, just one is a little more specific than the other. Windows of opportunity is a period of time when a child is most ready to develop certain skills. Developmental window is a "window of opportunity" pertaining to a specific area. Ex: learning language skills begins to close around 5 and diminishes around putberty
