What is Lincoln-Douglas?
Occurs when the opposing side contradicts what has been said by offering a contrary statement or argument.

This side of a debate gives the positive elements of a subject or topic. The affirmative side speaks first in the debate process.
What is affirmative?
This is an opportunity for the opposite side to ask questions after what has just been presented. They can ask about anything, but it should be relevant to what has just been presented. (Hint: We used in LD Debate!)
What is cross-examination?
In this debate style, a student may act like someone else. For example, a parent, principal, police officer, scientist, teacher, etc..
What is role play debate?
In this style of debate, students in inner circle discuss and outer circle writes down arguments.
What is inner circle-outer circle debate?
This appeal convinces the audience of the speaker's credibility and trustworthiness.
What is ethos?
While a speaker is speaking, she or he has the floor and should not be interrupted. This includes comments interjected by the audience or other speakers as well as disruptive behavior from the other team or the audience.
What is ettiquette?
This style of debate allows points of information and heckling.
What is public forum debate?
This should not happen during cross-examination.
