Alcohol and Drug
This standard applies to all employees while they are engaged in Company business at all times when on Company premises, Company worksites, working remotely, and when operating Company vehicles and equipment and operating personal vehicles for Company business.

What is the Joint Health, Safety and Environment Committee?
There's no set mileage for when to replace your safety footwear, but footwear start to show wear and tear somewhere around the 1500 km mark under average usage – which is about one year of daily wear. Signs include; Worn-out soles, damaged boot or worn-out upper, reduced support and cushioning in your boot, reduced support and cushioning in your insole.
When is it time to replace your work/safety boots?

What is 24 hours?
This bling became a new rule by the CANULC. EPCOR EDTI employees are no longer allowed to wear watches, rings, bracelets or body jewelry while on site. Note: this rule is not necessarily new to EDTI but is now reinforced.
What is jewlery?
[BLANK] will be maintained to the extent possible, except where limited disclosure is necessary for related health and safety concerns regarding Alcohol and Drug/fitness for work investigations.
What is confidentiality?
Representatives from both sides come together to discuss health and safety related concerns in the workplace, identify opportunities and recommend initiatives to promote and encourage health & safety and continuous improvement in the operation and effectiveness of Electricity Operations Health and Safety Program.
What is Management and Workers?
Type I — Provides head protection from impacts and sharp objects from above. Type II — Provides protection from impacts and sharp objects from above and sides. EPCOR requires this rating for non-conducting and passes 20,000V dielectric strength test.
What is a Class E for hard hats?
A person who monitors and remains in the area for the sole purpose of observing the hot work being performed to ensure that conditions do not become hazardous and fire does not break out. The fire watch is equipped and in a position to assist in putting out a fire should one break out.
What is a Fire Watch?
These include assessing all ground disturbance hazards, staying within limits of approach, isolating hazardous energy sources, working fit for duty(A&D) and protection yourself when working at heights.
What are Life Saving Rules(LSR)?
EPCOR aligns with this model set out in MS20-PRO1. 3 - Post Incident Testing.
What is the Canadian Model?
Voted on SWP enhancements; Causal investigations are presented for sharing of learnings; Personal safety concerns while working near encampments was raised as employees were unsure of the process if the site requires clean up. A Team Talk was developed to provide the process and contacts;

What highlights/efforts are from this year(2023)?
These are mandatory for all work activities and should reflect ASTM ANSI cut level 4 as a minimum. The gloves selected must be appropriate to the task at hand. The exceptions to this rule are for employees engaged in: a) Activities specific to live line contact and working with rubber gloves. b) Activities that expose employees to chemicals that could injure the skin on contact or be absorbed through skin. Gloves must meet requirements identified on Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for chemical product being used. c) Low risk activities where a cut hazard is not presented and deviation has been included on the safe work plan, outlining hazards and appropriate controls.
What are cut resistant gloves?
Place a minimum of one fire extinguisher within [BLANK] of hot work. Workers involved with the hot work shall be trained in fire extinguisher use.
This system is required to be used to enter in all events, observations and inspections.
What is ERS?
With the 2023 updates to the standard, all positions across EPCOR will be subject to this after a significant incident occurs, or if there is reasonable cause.
What is A&D testing?
These 2 people are the current co-chairs of the JHSC.
Who are Pete Shields and Tim Boschman?
Must be worn as required by OHS Code if: a) You are or may be exposed to an airborne contaminant or a mixture of airborne contaminants, in a concentration exceeding occupational exposure limits specified in OHS Code, b) Atmosphere has or may have an oxygen concentration of less than 19.5% by volume, or c) You are or may be exposed to an airborne biohazardous material.
What is Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE)?
These can lodge in rolled-up sleeves, pockets of clothing, or cuffs or overalls or trousers. It is recommended that sleeves and collars be kept buttoned. If pockets are present, they should be emptied of flammable or readily combustible materials. Clothing should be worn in a manner to prevent the trapping of these.
What are sparks?
They include visual inspections of workplaces, deliberately designing safe working processes and workplaces, discussing hazards and risks with employees, consulting your supply chains and network contacts, and reviewing safety information relative to our industry.
What are common methods of identifying hazards in the workplace?
If the [BLANK] a person is using will affect their ability to operate safely, they are to take appropriate action to minimize safety risk by advising their direct supervisor or designate of any need for modified duties.
