In the Spring of 2018, Eliza Dulalia submitted an Expansion Inquiry to the National Vice President of Membership, Randell Rueda, to establish Delta Epsilon Mu at San Francisco State University. As an interest group, Eliza along with 12 fellow students, under the guidance of Advisory Member Clarence Olero, established the Pre-Health Professionals Club at San Francisco State University, which served as the stepping stone to establish a Colony. Under the guidance of the Vice President of Membership, the National Co-Directors of Expansion, Michael Rodriguez and Sydney Lopez, the SFSU Colony completed the Prospective Member Education.
All Members of the SFSU Colony completed their Expansion Process with the help of their Expansion Chapter, the Alpha Kappa Chapter, and on May 4th 2019, each Member was initiated into the Founding Class of Alpha Rho Chapter, earning a Charter as the 34th Chapter. The 14 Founders of the Alpha Rho Chapter thus established a foundation at San Francisco State University to develop well-rounded leaders in the various health fields, centered around the Pillars of Loyalty, Dedication, Friendship and Support.
