Beautiful... and Park which is a nice tranquil oasis right next to the CBD of Sydney and contains some really nice plants! It's also the perfect place to take photos of both the opera house and bridge at the same time!
Royal Botanic Garden Sydney
Cannot believe ive only just discovered this place. It's hidden away in a side street about 10 mins walk from central station. We came at off peak time, around 3pm, and all of the stalls were open and serving food and there was heaps of seating. The atmosphere is fantastic and beautifully decorated with lanterns and murals, and there's a lot of different foods to choose from. We had Japanese and it was affordable and so delicious. Will absolutely be coming back here!
Spice Alley
My daughter and I went here to kill some time before our flight back to Brisbane. We arrived around 11am on Thursday morning and people were already seated, ordering alcohol. We ordered a couple of cocktails and champagne as we were still in ‘holiday mode’. The service was amazing and the staff were super friendly. We shared a fish sandwich which melted in your mouth along with half a dozen local fresh oysters! Yum 🤤 The view of the ... was breathtaking and this Aussie landmark was the perfect backdrop to our cocktail pics! Worth a visit 🍹🍸🥂
Opera Bar
Bondi
It's a 6km walk starting and ending at the most popular beaches with an amazing view on the way. You come across many other beaches and the view is spectacular everywhere. It took us around 3-4 hours (we walked rather slow and stopped multiple times at different beaches for a few minutes). The walk also ends at a shopping street, so perfect to get lunch or dinner there. Would recommend it to everyone
Bondi to Coogee Walk
Best place to eat at USYD when you don't want to leave campus. Stuff is expensive but their daily pasta/pizza/salad is so affordable, ranging from $9-11. I tried their blonde brownie and it was pretty sad, so was their cold and hard donut :/
Courtyard Restaurant & Bar
One of the most vibrant places in Sydney downtown parallel to George street. The place is always buzzling particularly in the late evenings into the night. Went once late evening and could not enter as was a long waiting queue. Tried it out early afternoon and had a nice happy hour drink. The place is reasonably big with many tables seating 2-3 and although early afternoon was full of people. The mix of crowd was super nice with many young men and women. Had a nice experience overall. You need to get to order the drink on the bar an pay and can be quite a bit of wait anyways otherwise good service.

Centennial Park
Yeah it’s alright. Really nice food and a great spot for brunch if you can get a seat, but not sure if it’s worth the price. Didn’t expect it to have a slight Asian-fusion vibe (kimchi cheese sandwich, Korean fried chicken, etc). Ricotta pancakes are nice, $33 is steep though. A lot of cocktail options as well.
Bills
Let’s escape the city’s hustle and bustle and immerse ourselves in paradise! We visited, which felt like stepping into a resort. It had a relaxing and chill-out vibe that I desperately needed. Jimmy's Rooftop
Love this place and a regular visitor. Free entry to main galleries - what is not to like? The new building with more contemporary artworks is very impressive. The staff here are very helpful. I wish they would offer more 2 for 1 entries for the touring exhibitions. Went with a friend to the Magritte after 5pm on Wednesday and the place was pumping which shows people are interested but shelling out $35 entry pp in these times is just a bit too much. Outdoor sculptures including the Kasuma is awesome. Make sure you check out the oil tank below ground!

Manly Beach
One of Sydney’s great walks that most should be able to do if can walk 10km. Amazing views throughout. Less crowded on weekdays but a good trail at anytime. If can coincide your walk with low tide, more interesting along beachfront away from suburban streets. Very well signposted. Allow 2.5-3hrs. Hilly bits not too long and strenuous. I have a preference for walking in easterly direction ... to ... for a ferry ride back to city, but the other way won’t be too bad either.
Spit to Manly
First time coming here during a rare visit to Manly. It was really hot outside so it was nice that this is located semi underground and in a cool stone/marbled space. The focaccia bread is absolutely massive! One space can feed 2 people easily. The lamington is one of the best I’ve tried in Sydney - not just jam but cream and raspberry filling too. The freshly squeezed juices are also a delight. Of course, expect high prices for every item. Very limited seating too.
Norma's Deli
I attended on Sunday 7th of may the bar upstairs with my friends. We are having good time and each person had 3 drinks then at 11 pm security came to us and talked to us then asked us to leave we did not do any problem with any person there no issues only we were dancing and having good time. The manager was Indian guy and the security was Tongan (Kolo). I asked them respectfully what we did . He said you have to leave.the Security are very rude. I’m going to make big complaint about this problem. We left the club without any problem

Plenty of benches to sit and relax with a coffee and sandwich and watch the busy students go by or enjoy the dogs run around to their hearts content. Just one of those parks that make Sydney so livable.
Victoria Park
You can not find pizza here, but their wood fired bread really compensates it. Very good with lot very wide variation of menu / topping to accompany your bread. Salami, mushroom, olive, tomato, burata, tuna, octopus, etc. Also order their vongole bucatini and it’s also very good and well textured homemade pasta. Tiramisu also good. The service is very fast. Love the ambience, also. They have indoor and outdoor seating.
Bar Totti's
Merivale's go-to cantina for large bookings, ample space and funky DJ music. Phoebe and the team were very helpful in arranging our booking on short notice for a Saturday arvo. Great centrally located venue for both those wanting a quiet chill gathering after lunch as well as those warming up for pre-drink feels before heading out. For $25, the generous servings of nachos are not to be missed. With a diverse layout of a sit-down bar upstairs, an outdoor terrace for dancing and indoor downstairs cabana - it's a sure space to bounce around yet feeling in a different atmosphere.
