Mention 4 Stroke Cycle
1. Intake Stroke: The cycle begins with the piston moving down in the cylinder, creating a vacuum that opens the intake valve. This allows an air-fuel mixture to enter the cylinder from the intake manifold.
2. Compression Stroke: Once the cylinder is filled with the air-fuel mixture, the piston moves back up, compressing the mixture. Both the intake and exhaust valves are closed during this stroke, which prepares the mixture for ignition.
3. Power stroke: The pressure of hot gases created during the combustion pushes the piston down with great force. The power stroke provides the energy to turn the wheels in a car.
4. Exhaust Stroke: After the power stroke, the piston moves back up again, pushing the spent gases out of the cylinder through the open exhaust valve. This clears the cylinder for the next cycle.
