My kids have a nintendo DS and an ipad mini that they download stuff to over wifi before we leave. My wife usually kills time on facebook from her phone until we find wifi for her tablet.

We use the DVR for a lot of stuff, in fact its almost full. Sometimes I miss a football game if I forget to DVR it.

While I am camping I am pretty disconnected. My wife has a phone number for the ranger's office at the campgounds if its a really big emergency.
