What is shaping?
The length of time a behavior lasts.
What is duration?
When a personal relationship conflicts with professional responsibility.
What is dual relationship?
Feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure, the ethical action is to do this.
What is ask supervisor/seek support?
When a request is made.
What is a mand?
This “three-term contingency” tool is used to record what happens before a behavior, the behavior itself, and what happens after to help identify behavior patterns.
What is ABC data?
Counting each instance a behavior occurs.
What is frequency?
Do not talk about client in front of them, do not mock their behaviors inappropriately, keep bathroom door closed.
What is client dignity?
Flip-flops, sandals, revealing/torn, short short/skirts.
What is inappropriate clothing?
KB elopes from his seat. KB is only reinforced when he is sitting in his seat.
What is DRI?
A stimulus that signals that reinforcement is available.
What is an SD (discriminative stimulus)?
Measuring the amount of time between behavioral events in the amount of time takes form a behavior to occur.
What is latency?
Maintaining the privacy of client information.
What is confidentiality?
Monetary value of no more than $10.
What is gift giving/ receiving?
The 4 functions of behavior.
What is Sensory/ Automatic, Escape, Attention, Tangibles (S.E.A.T)?
This removes something and increases behavior.
What is negative reinforcement?
Data collection that divides time into intervals and records if the behavior occurred at any time during the interval.
What is Partial- Interval Recording?
Work within the areas you are trained and competent.
What is practicing within your scope of competence?
Can be utilized to cover any absences.
What is PTO?
These are desirable skills that are taught and reinforced so the client does more of that instead of the inappropriate behavior
What are replacement behaviors?
When reinforcement for a behavior is removed, the behavior may temporarily increase in frequency, duration, or intensity.
What is extinction burst?
Collecting data across different days, settings, or people helps evaluate this concept
What is generalization?
This ethical concept states that treatment should be based on data, evidence, and scientific principles.
What is evidence-based practice?
Private conversation between supervisor and employee to address minor infractions or performance issues.
What is a verbal warning?
When a specific behavior is occurring too often with the goal being to reduce the rates of behavior.
What is Differential Reinforcement of Low Rates (DRL)?
