A fungal infection that is treated with antifungal topical powders, sprays, or creams.
Tinea (Any other version of Tinea works too)
An abnormal growth that is normally harmless and is characterized by the thickening of a tissue.
Hypertrophy
It is also known as ringworm and is caused by a fungus, not an actual worm. It looks like skin irritation that spreads into a curricular lesion that is red and scaly.
Tinea Corporis
An acquired thickened patch of the epidermis, a callus would be an example of this.
Keratoma
This bacterial infection is often confused with Herpes and can be treated with oral and topical antibiotics.
Impetigo
The opposite of hypertrophy and is characterized by the thinning of a tissue.
Atrophy
A bacterial infection of the skin with small clusters of blisters or crusty lesions filled with bacteria. It is very contagious.
Impetigo
Is shown by redness and bumpiness on the cheeks, upper arms, or thighs caused by blocked follicles, also called “chicken skin”.

Treated with topical chemical exfoliants or light mechanical exfoliation, this helps to unblock the follicles.
