When an outsider is suddenly given all of this power, they have the ability to make decisions that could destroy communities and have fatal consequences.

You would naturally begin to avoid them, or try to talk to them.
Why is it dangerous to take the back seat and let a stranger take control of a population.
A strangers ideology and opinions can vary from the rest of the community, and the populations health and lives are in the hands of someone who doesn’t know them long enough to care, or to consider their lives in the process of their decision making.

Greed can blind people to the consequences of their actions, destroying their relationships.
Why is a struggling community more vulnerable to physical health being damaged when the natural order of things are affected?
The community’s vulnerability leads to a path of destruction, whether it’s through violence, drugs, etc. as they are much weaker to fight for their health.
