Awareness of what our particular unconscious biases are The Implicit Association Test (IAT) measures attitudes and beliefs that people may be unwilling or unable to report. The IAT may be especially interesting if it shows that you have an implicit attitude that you did not know about. Implicit Association Test Follow the processes and policies in place that ensure fairness Mixing with a variety of people outside your traditional ‘in’ helps break down stereotypes and assumptions Practice empathy Identify Common Ground with others The more we are able to talk about unconscious biases, the more we take them from the unconscious to the conscious and our decision making will be based on facts
