function of the liaison committee
what is (just as close as you can get to this lol) --> as a board member on the Liaison Committee, you will be assigned a Bollywood or Bhangra team to communicate leading up to the weekend of Nachle Deewane. The teams that are chosen to compete in our show come from all over the country, so it is critical to make sure that each one feels comfortable and has an unforgettable time in Santa Barbara. Your job as a liaison will be to ensure the teams have submitted all their material on time and have everything they need on the day of the show. Additionally, liaisons are responsible for planning and leading the mixer the day before Nachle Deewane. Liaison members hold one of the most important positions on show day, and through this position, you will get to meet a lot of new people. This position is great for anyone who is a great communicator, organizer, and can stay on top of things?

function of venue and technology team
what is (as close as possible to the following) --> The Venue and Tech committee’s main focus is finding a venue for the show and post post-show concert. Additionally, they are responsible for finding lighting and sound companies to manage both events. This committee will manage only the show on the day of Nachle Deewane. Members will work with the sound and lighting teams at the theater to develop smooth transitions and timings for the teams. The Venue and Tech Committee will assist in all technical aspects of Nachle Deewane; however, it will not engage in decorating or event planning. This committee is great for anyone who is interested in event planning and stage production.
