What is Proportional Relationships? Examples?

A proportional relationship is when two things change in such a way that they always stay in the same ratio. For example, if you’re buying pencils, and each pencil costs $2, the cost of 2 pencils would be $4. The amount of money you would pay is always proportional to the number of pencils you buy because the cost per pencil is constant(k).(They don't have to say that example, but it has to be a correct example.)
