What is Tetracaine Hydrochloride 0.5% and 1%?
For use in pts needing rehydration. Use caution in pts with suspected pulmonary edema.
What is Normal Saline 100mL/hr?
Not to be used with known hypersensitivity, Hx Asthma, Urticaria or other allergic type reactions after taking aspirin or NSAIDs, post coronary bypass graft (CABG).
What is Meloxicam?
Can be given IM/IN Q30mins PRN x2 doses total.
What is Ketamine 50mg/mL?
Use precaution when using this drug in coordination with caffeine-containing beverages as these may increase the restlessness and insomnia caused by this drug.
What is Pseudoephedrine 60mg Q6-8H PO?
Avoid co-administration with valproic acid or divalproex sodium. Use caution if history of CNS disorders, seizures and/or compromised renal function as increased risk of seizure and other CNS adverse effects reported.
What is Ertapenem 1g IM Q24H?
Promotes clot formation by inhibiting plasminogen from binding to fibrin, which decreases plasmin activation and breakdown of fibrin in clot formation.
What is Tranexamic Acid 2g IV/IO?
Should be self administered under supervision of a healthcare provider. If pt requires stronger pain relief instruct to cover diluter hole.
What is Methoxyflurane?
Administered via autoinjector for use with Atropine to treat Nerve Agent Exposure.
What is Obidoxime 220mg/2mL?
Indicated for use in pts with suspected cardiac chest pain.
What is Acetylsalicylic Acid 160mg po x1?
Inhibits fungal sterol synthesis which detrimentally alters the fungal cell membrane when used to treat vaginal candidiasis.
What is Fluconazole 150mg PO x1 dose?
Indicated for VSA pts and Burn Management. Avoid concurrent use with blood transfusion.
What is Lactated Ringer's?
Indicated for Pediatric Pain, Adult pain, URTI, headache, Dysmenorrhea.
What is Ibuprofen?
Used to treat pt with the following symptoms: respiratory wheeze, stridor, oral edema, Nausea/Vomiting, Hives.
What is Epinephrine 0.3mg IM x1 dose?
Use with caution in Pts with severe liver or renal insufficiency and in pts with medical or family hx of seizures. Avoid in pts with hypersensitivity to loratadine.
What is Desloratadine?
Drug used to treat eye injuries, however use precaution when used with NSAIDs as this may increase the risk of CNS stimulations and convulsions.
What is Moxifloxacin 400mg po daily?
The only medication that is in all protocols, has no contraindications, and only 1 precaution.
