A person has uncontrollable worry that is chronic and pervades their entire life
What is Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)?
Relatively low grade, but chronic depression often lasting for years
What is Persistent Depressive Disorder?
The key feature to this disorder is the presence of emotional or behavioral symptoms in response to an identifiable stressor
What is an adjustment disorder?
Repetitive behaviors or mental acts that an individual feels driven to perform
What are compulsions?
An individual that fears being judged in public and therefore avoids social situations may have this disorder.
What is social anxiety disorder?
Grandiosity, decreased need for sleep, more talkative than usual, flight of ideas, distractibility, psychomotor agitation
What is a manic episode?
Trauma-Stressor related disorder in which symptoms are restricted to a duration of 3 days to one month following exposure to a traumatic event
What is acute stress disorder?
These are the three levels of insight identified in Obsessive Compulsive and Related Disorders
What are good/fair, poor, and absent?
Recurrent unexpected panic attacks
What is a panic disorder?
Specifier for individuals who experience recurrent depressive disorder during a particular time of year
What is "with seasonal pattern?"
A person experiencing distressing memories and dreams, hypervigilance, and exaggerated startle response may be displaying sxs of this disorder.
What is PTSD?
Person experiences persistent thoughts, urges, or images and engages in repetitive behaviors they feel driven to preform in response to the thoughts/urges. Completing the behaviors are a way to reduce anxiety/distress or to prevent a dreaded outcome.
What is Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)?
A child can be diagnosed with this disorder if they are reticent in certain social situations, but not others.
What is selective mutism?
Criteria has been met for at least one hypomanic episode and at least one major depressive episode
What is Bipolar II Disorder?
An individual begins to pick their eyelashes when experiencing anxiety. They are likely to diagnosed with this disorder
What is trichotillomania?
Individual fears or avoids situations because of thoughts that escape may be difficult or help may not be available in the event of incapacitating or embarrassing symptoms

The pervasive loss of interest and pleasure in everyday living
