The protagonist in Sula is Sula and Nel. Even though Sula isn't always the "good guy", she serves as the link between the rest of the characters in the novel. She is the titular character. Nel is more of the traditional protagonist in the sense that she's the "good person." In Animal Farm, the working-class animals are the protagonist and the pigs are the antagonists. In 12 Angry Men, Juror 8 is the protagonist, as he wants the defendant to get a fair trial.

The propaganda included "four legs good, two legs better", and the song the pigs personally wrote so that most of the animals were under their control. Rhetorical devices in 12 Angry Men, allowed the evidence to be properly discussed and analyzed, making people change their vote.

The setting in Sula is at the Bottom, where this time there is still a lot of racism and discrimination. In the story, we see a lot of this, especially with how there is a societal standard and also the unfairness in getting jobs. Train example( Nel and Helene). In 12 Angry Men, its a hot room, where people voted guilty to reach a verdict quickly, in which they did not properly judge the boy. The setting in Animal Farm is in a farm thats where the cruelty of the working animals took place, and also the battles.
