This is when families can't come inside to shop but they must get food for their month
Why do we have curbside pick-up?
Schools help us do these three things
They connect families with resources, spread the word about PORCH, and host collection drives. (They do not give PORCH any funding.)

The central space where volunteers sort, pack, and distribute food to families each month
What is the PORCH Community HUB
They pick up donated items from porches (where the name “PORCH” comes from!) and bring them to the Hub.
Who are the PORCH neighborhood coordinators?
These are purchased from local farmers, such as transplanting traditions, and others are donated from local grocery stores' food nearing its sell-by date instead of throwing it away, and others are purchased
Where does porch get fresh produce from?
Families must do this before coming to shop at the HUB each month to get food

The label helps mark which products are about to expire or on their due date but still safe to eat
What is the special label?
This program in PORCH helps families with children in the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Schools get the fresh and healthy foods their children deserve
What is the PORCH Food For Families Program?
These people sort and organize monthly non-perishable items and check their due dates before they are put on the shelves
