What is the definition of magnetic field?

A region around a magnetic material or a moving electric charge within which the force of magnetism acts.

100
Why is geodynamo important to magnetic fields?

Because the process of geodynamo is able to create magnetic fields.

100
True or False?

The Coriolis force is the reason planes have drag and why cars can stop so quickly.

False!

The Coriolis force actually just makes planes go longer distances in this situation.

How can the magnetic field, geodynamo, and Coriolis force be used in a helpful manner together?
Geodynamo and the Coriolis force create magnetic fields, and the magnetic field is helpful to us. plus geodynamo and the Coriolis force have their own positives too.

Why is the Earths core's magnetic field so important?

The Earth's magnetic field seems to deflect most of the solar wind, which charged particles of solar wind would otherwise kill the ozone layer that protects the Earth from harmful ultraviolet radiation. This is only 1 of the things it does. Another one is to help us see North, East, South, West on compasses and helps animals that use those directions to guide themselves. It does way more things that help us though.

What is geodynamo?

The flow of liquid iron cause electric currents which can produce magnetic fields. Energy charged metals passing through these fields go on to make electric currents. This is a loop called geodynamo.

200
Why do you think the Coriolis is important to magnetic fields?

It can produce magnetic fields. But that is one of the minor things it does. There are a lot more.

200
What is one similar thing between the Coriolis force and geodynamo?
One main thing is that they both are a loop that produces magnetic fields. But of course, there is some other similarities between them.
300
Do all planets have magnetic fields?
Yes, all planets have magnetic fields. Although some are weaker and some are stronger than Earth's, they all have one.
300
How could geodynamo be useful?

Energy charged metals passing through magnetic fields go on to make electric currents. This, would be used for electricity. Obviously though, there is not yet an invention that can gather this energy. In the future possibly, there will be an invention that can gather this electricity.

300
Where is The Coriolis Force the greatest?
Right in the middle of the Earth! (In the middle of the equator.)
300
What is a difference between geodynamo and the Coriolis force?
The Coriolis force is, a force, while geodynamo is just a cycle, or loop.

(There are also other acceptable answers)

400
Where is the Earth's magnetic field?
There is no particular place where it stays. The magnetic field actually engulfs Earth.
400
How do you think the loop of geodynamo gets it's liquid iron to start it's cycle?
A logical guess would say that it gets it from the outer core, but there is other theories.
400
How does the Coriolis Force engulf the Earth with a magnetic field?
With the Coriolis force's ability to produce magnetic fields, it can produce so many that Earth becomes engulfed in it. But, The Coriolis force is only contributing to engulf the Earth with magnetic fields. Other processes contribute to to help engulf the Earth.
400
How could the magnetic field not help us?

The magnetic field brings down things like rockets and planes unless they do not have thrust, and in order to get thrust, we need materials.

500

Considering that a vector field is the magnetic field but phrased that way only in mathematics, how could the vector field be used mathematically?

The vector field is used in mathematics by vector calculus.

500

What is the Coriolis force, and what causes it?

The Coriolis force, caused from the Earth's spin, also causes swirling whirlpools. This flow of liquid iron makes electric currents, which in turn make magnetic fields. (Cause)

The Coriolis force is the force that causes magnetic fields and many more things. Also is the reason Earth is covered by a magnetic field.

500
The whole Earth has a magnetic field. In this case, because a magnetic field is around a magnet, what would be the magnet in Earth?
In this case, the magnet would be the core.
