Wait until the teacher is done with the lesson and get a drink during work time.

Oh no! Your pencil is broke in the middle of taking notes. The teacher is teaching and it is NOT work time yet. What do you do?
Quietly go to the "extra" pencil box in the back of the room or in the Student Math cabinet (pick the closest location) and grab a pencil to borrow.
How many meal choices are there for lunch?
You can choose 1 meal from 4 choices.
What do you do when you hear the bell ring at the end of recess?
You quickly find your classroom number and line up at level 0 voice.
What is the procedure for using the restroom during class time?
Wait until work time and raise your hand to visit the bathroom. Remember to sign in and out.
What time is 5th grade lunch?
11:30-11:50
(Recess 11:50-12:20)
What is special about Thursdays and Fridays?
On Thursdays - dress in your house color.
On Fridays - dress in Eastgate gear.
What is the homework situation like with Mrs. Jansons'?
Mrs. Jansons expect you to be reading 20 minutes at home every night. You will have a homework notebook for working on writing prompts at home.
Homework is graded on effort. Just do your best and try!
When and where is Breakfast Served?
Breakfast is served in my classroom/Room 24 from 8:40-9:00.
What time can students arrive at school?
Students should arrive at 8:30.
What if you are having a yucky day and are struggling with making good choices? What can you do?
You can choose to take some time to sit in the Calm Spot in room 24. You can also talk to the teacher about visiting a calm spot in a different location.
How can parents come to visit during lunch?
Parent needs to go to the office and sign in. They can eat lunch with their student at one of the designated tables.
I see my car in the pick up line - it is 5 cars down and I want to get in quickly. What should I do?
Wait until the car is 2 away and then line up by the "pick up" pole. Wait for a teachers to take you to your car.
