The biome where there is lots of rain, warm temperatures, and lots of diversity of species
Tropical rainforest
The biome where the main plant life is grass and prairie dogs live underground
Temperate grassland/Prairie
The water ecosystem/zone which is also called the abyssal zone as it is the deepest zone, has no sunlight, and houses no photosynthetic organisms due to the lack of light
Deep ocean
The sphere that includes all the air that surrounds the entire planet
Atmosphere
The SHORT-TERM variations in day-to-day patterns of an area

The biome that contains a "canopy" which are the highest branches of the forest and allows little light through due to its coverage
Tropical Rainforest
The freshwater marine ecosystem which is made up of moving water
Rivers and streams
The water ecosystem/zone that is next closest area to shore, can be shallow or deep in some places, and is home to many colorful organisms
Neritic zone/Coral Reef
The sphere that contains everything that lives on Earth, and every place where those things live
Biosphere
The climate in a SMALL, SPECIFIC place within a larger area
microclimate
The biome that does not contain trees because of its high elevation and has colder air
Alpine Tundra
The freshwater marine ecosystem which includes areas of standing water
Ponds and lakes
Pond/lake zone which is along the shoreline where rooted plants, water lilies, and other organisms live
Littoral zone
The sphere that makes up all of the physical features of Earth's surface and everything below earth's surface (continents, rocks, and seafloor)
Geosphere
The biome where it is very dry, little rain, and plants/animals have adaptations to survive dry climate
desert
The biome that has deciduous trees (trees that drop their leaves to survive winters)
Temperate rain forest/Deciduous Forest
The marine ecosystem where a river begins to flow into an ocean and contains "nurseries" because these areas protect and are home to young species
Estuaries
In the pond/lake zone that is the open water further out from shore
Limnetic zone
The sphere that is made up of the Earth's crust, surface, and upper mantle (the semi-solid land underneath the surface)
Lithosphere
The biome where the main plant life is grass and there are gazelles and zebras
Grassland
The biome that has permafrost "permanently or (long term) frozen soil" and has the coldest, longest winters
Artic Tundra
The marine ecosystem/zone which contains tidal pools (isolated pockets of seawater) and is made up of the shoreline between low and high tide
Intertidal zone/beach
The pond/lake zone in which less sunlight reaches as this area is at the bottom where bacteria and other decomposers live in the mud and sand
