Where do SLP student go to for advising appointments?
The SELL office!
"Is it true it's boring on the weekends?"
Example: "One of the perks of TCNJ is that a lot of people are close to home, so you have the opportunity to take advantage of a quick trip home, and many do. It is up to each person, but by connecting with a roommate who has similar ideals about staying on weekends/going home prior to coming to campus, you can ensure that you will get the experience you're looking for!"
What should you NOT do as an Ed Guide? (at least 3)
1. Walk with your back to the crowd
2. Talk loudly about weekend activities (like partying)

At this booth, families/prospective students can ask specific questions to staff in the School of Ed. You can feel free to direct people to the fair if they ask a question you don't know the answer to!

There are many different buffet stations you can go to, like a deli station, Asian foods, a salad bar, home-style cooking, barbecue/grilled foods, Mexican foods and even a dessert bar. Outside of the dining hall, there are many great food options in the Student Center or Campus Town!"

What is the Special/Urban Education major now called for Sophomores and Below?
Inclusive Education
"The school spirit at Rutgers is better than here"
Example: "I can't really speak to the experience you may have at other schools, but what I do know is that your experience is what you make of it! The sporting events have great turn-outs, and everyone here is proud to be a lion."
What do you do if you are faced with a question you don't know the answer to?
Don't answer it! It's perfectly okay to say, "That's a great question, I am actually not sure," and then refer them to someone who does know the answer, like a Coordinator, Dean or Dr. Beyer's (assuming he will be present)
Quick, you're on the panel! How would you respond to this question?
How has your overall experience in the School of Education been? What do you enjoy the most?
Give us your spiel for the Ed Cafe!
Example: "Welcome to the crown jewel of the education building... our Ed Cafe! Accessible to all students on campus, this cafe has Starbucks coffee products (as well as other drinks), breakfast sandwiches and quick snacks. This is a great place to hang out in between classes, meet friends, or just quickly stop for a bite/drink when you're on the go!" etc...
What is the TOSD major?
TOSD: Teachers of Students with Disabilities
It is an undergraduate certificate add-on that has to be declared by year 2. This major would provide you with an Elementary Education certification and a Special Education certification.
*This would get you both certifications in 4 years, but still requires a dual-major, and does not provide a Master's degree*
"The campus is sooo small"
Example: "That's true! If a bigger school campus seems more suitable for you, definitely take that into consideration. What's great about the smaller school size here is that it makes for smaller class sizes where you establish relationships with your peers and professors, and it is easy to get from one end of campus to the other pretty quickly!"
